It is not often that I am able to get my whole family together so I am not about to disobey she who must be obeyed.

So I am afraid that I will not be there this weekend.

You'll be sadly missed, John.

Not sure if anyone is keeping count but for the record I am intending to be at the meet Sunday and am looking forward to seeing everyone (hopefully) at the Canungra Pub at 7.30am (if I am not in fact driving around hopelessly lost).

Can I get some clarification here? I was under the impression we were going to the Green Mountains/O'Reillys section of the park - not the Binna Burra section which is, by car, a significant distance away.

Xerebus - you've been very quiet - this was your idea; what's your interpretation on this?

I know it doesn't matter too much to the group meeting at Canungra as we will just travel in convoy but Craig and Diana will need to know where we're going to be. I suggested in an early post they meet us at the top of the carpark near the O'Reilly's Guesthouse/Kiosk complex - but Craig keeps mentioning Binna Burra. :?

I may be bringing another member with me - 'SteveGriffin' - whose name is, coincidentally, Steve Griffin  . You might remember he was the 500th member to join the forum. He's more used to underwater photography so hopefully he won't be 'out of his depth'!!

Thanks for that Big Pix - it will certainly help those that haven't already met a couple of us.

Now I am confused........lets pick one place to meet then travel to where we want or need to go, so people are not in 2 different locations, and a time and place to meet after shooting, this I am sure is not too hard, SO WHICH PUB DO WE MEET AT, time wise I would say about 7am to 7:45 am. I have not been to this area before but I have heard of O'Rielys Pub, maybe this is a good place to meet then move on to shooting locations

Cheers
Big Pix

Big Pix - there is no change to the initial meeting place: The Canungra Hotel at 7.30am.

From Canungra, you can access TWO sections of Lamington National Park - the Green Mountains section (known more colloquially as O'Reilly's) or the Binna Burra Section. Although the two areas are geographically close to each other, they are around 60km apart by road, with Canungra in the middle.

Ordinarily, it wouldn't matter where the final place was if everyone was meeting at Canungra, as we can make a choice there anyway. This probably wouldn't suit Craig (JordanP) as he and his wife are staying at Binna Burra. Then again, Xerebus only ever mentioned Lamington NP, not which part, so I suppose it was a 50/50 chance that Craig was going to be staying at the wrong end!

Craig has PMed me his mobile number so I can let him know once we have made a decision. It's a shame this hadn't been arranged earlier but I had expected Xerebus, our 'Tour Leader', to keep us posted on what the plan was.

I don't know if meeting after the shoot is going to be practical as people will have different time frames within which to work and may have to leave earlier than others (I've probably got to get away shortly after lunch). Open to suggestions on this though.

Edit: Just keeping tabs on numbers...
From what I gather in the posts, the following looks like our list of attendees:

1. Xerebus - Mark
2. Big Pix - ?
3. Boxerboy - Peter
4. Leigh999 - Rebecca
5. Byron - Tamara
6. Spooky - Brett
7. LKGrainger - Leigh (not sure if you're a guy or a gal Leigh but judging by your motor racing shots I'm ASSUMING a guy!!)
8. JordanP - Craig & his wife Diana
9. Me - Simon

I may be bringing Steve Griffin, depending on his work situation, and I haven't heard anything further from 'Me-Two'(Mark) - could you please confirm if you're coming so we know when we've got everyone at Canungra?

I'm happy to PM my mobile number to anyone who thinks they may need assistance or further info.

Thanks all - sorry for the long post!!

Canungra is in the UBD so the Hotel should be easy found, someone told me that this small town has a great pie shop !!!!, I hope it is opened on Sunday

Sorry guys, up until about 2 hours ago I was all revved up ready to go, but have since had a minor plumbing disaster at home. So, it's on with the gumboots for me. Bummer!

Sorry to hear that Peter. Hope you're not too deep in the... well, you know.

I've been in contact with Craig: they're happy to meet us all at Canungra so we can then go in either direction.

Whew! Pleased that's sorted out.

My apologies for not being around to discuss this guys. I had a close friend pass away and have not been thinking about photography at all.

I'm am truly sorry for the late notice, but I will not be able to make the meet as I'm taking some time away. I look forward to seeing some good shots from the meet.

No apologies necessary, Mark and you have my sincere condolences for your loss. I was certainly wondering what had happened to you.

I think Big Pix, Craig and I should be able to muster the troops tomorrow and I have no doubt there'll be some nice shots.

Anyway - don't concern yourself with us.

Let us know when you're back on deck.

I'm still in
