Bathurst International Motor Festival

Postby Raskill on Mon Apr 10, 2006 5:31 pm

Just a heads up that this weekend (Easter Long Weekend) the inaugral Bathurst International Motor Festival is on. It is being held at the Mt Panorama circuit.

They are trying to model it on the Goodwood Festivall in the U.K.

The days include:

Manufacturers - track times

Team Australia CHAMP cart.

Historic Touring Cars - practice, qualifying and races

Aussie Racing Cars - practice, qualifying and races

Australian GT Sports Cars - practice, qualifying and races Car Clubs - parade laps

Legends of Motorsport - parade laps, practice and races

Extreme stunt cars and bikes

Rally cars

Static and circuit displays of cars from all era's of Bathurst's history

Hot laps
(Event-goers will have an opportunity to experience completing a lap of the Mt Panorama track, either as a participant or as a paying customer).

Should be good fun, if nothing else a chance to photograph motor sports and associated grid and promo girls! :D
2x D700, 2x D2h, lenses, speedlights, studio, pelican cases, tripods, monopods, patridges, pear trees etc etc

Thanks for the heads up, I'll be in the central west on the weekend. Might go down for a look weather permitting :)
