First of all I am sorry to hear about your loss Craig, hope you and your family are ok.

Second: My Leave did not get approved so I am stuck in Kenso :( , will see if I can pop in around lunch time.
I was sooooo looking forward to it, just know that this will be fun!!!

Darn!!

I have now organised a family event on Saturday!!

Craig, if others are happy, do you want to flip a coin [I will be doing the flipping  ] for Saturday vs Sunday?
No really, I am serious. I am happy to sit it out for this time if it's held on Saturday. Any comments from others?

I am easy for either day, but need to know before thursday to commit other duties.

Given the dwindling numbers and the possibility of swaping days is considering the following weekend an option?

I happy for you to delay things but,

Unfortunately I will not be available weekend of 19th and the one after.

On the other hand, I think it's better not to have too many people. I reckon crowds will scare the crowds away so to speak. 8)

If we had one female + 3 of us (Either me or Craig+ Gerry + Matt) then this would definitely will be a success.

We need to make a decision by tomorrow as Gerry has requested.

Ya never know who else might turn up. :

I was hoping to have a Pen F for this weekend, but the people who currently have it haven't yet returned it to the people who will be passing it on to me, so I won't.

But they have promised me an OM adapter to go with the cam ...

Thanks for Gerry, Gary, Craig and Mattk + Philo for attending!

We had a field day. We may have even recruited a new member!

My highlight was when the subject showed me how to change the aperture on Craig's 40D!

I am sure many photos will follow....

It was a great day, way exceeded my expectations, I am really looking forward to the next one, armed with that few hours experience will make for a much better outcome next time - photography wise!

Thats a great image too suren, really captures the location and the setup!

Big thanks to Filo and Craig for their awesome subject recruiting abilities, really made it a success.

Absolutely.

It was a great afternoon, lots of subjects of every variety, from babies in arms to babes in arms. A few four-legged subjects, and pretty much everything that you expect Newtown to offer you, from the more more than willing participants, the "get out of my fuckin' way!", whom, one may safely suggest, was not quite willing to have his photograph taken.

The location was great, with superb light.

Here's Craig ans Suren doing a little chimping ...

This was so much fun that we will most definitely do it again.

Thanks to suren for getting this going. It was a fabulous event and I still can't get over what I'm seeing in my previews. Those beautiful, proud, individual folk who presented themselves to our cameras with a cool confident gaze....and allowed us to capture their images and lock them up for eternity. Many lessons learnt and the next chapter of this event will be more polished and hopefully, even more fruitful. I now need some time to determine how best to process my take on these pictures. Great day guys!....great forum Gary! :D :D :D
