About 1000 feet above sea level, and a lot warmer than Dante's View.

I do! As I read you tittle I instantly thought of the film. I love the last one best with that solitary figure in the middle of the vast emptiness.

It's really very striking. Both the views, and the vastness.

But like most deserts, it's by n means empty. He even happened across a coyote. not chasing a roadrunner, which are also out there in the desert.
