Looking forward to one day seeing picture proof of the inaugural VR club meet, with clocks in the backgrounds pointing to 4am. ;)

I've seen Gary snoozing at meets before. Strangely when someone comments he awakes and says he was paying attention :!:

Thanks once again to Birddog & wife for their generous hospitality... It was good to meet up with and chat with some of the members again... Thanks again to Matt for exterminating my bunnies...

Oh yes... and that pasta dish was delicious...

Oh yes... gleff - if you look in your bag you might find a CD... It was supposed to go into my bag, but I think I put it in yours instead...
Next time...
Cheers, John

PM me your address, and I'll post it out to you on Monday.. otherwise, i'll bring it to the next minimeet, or Jenolan.. whichever comes first.

Thanks Birddog again for a great morning..

Meet report for Onyx:

Roll call - Glamy, rick, gleff, sheepie, killakoala, leek, mattk, shutterbug, thaddeus, johndec

Day started with Glamy taking delivery of his VR goodies (better check with him if he attended 4 am for official inauguration  ) and much envy/lust voiced by all present.

shutterbug brought his wife and two delightful small children. The mini-meets are turning into real family affairs so you will have to practice your communication skills with the littlies, Onyx, before you return.

Mattk conducted the dustbunny hunting; it seems he has been railroaded into this position by default, but he undoubtedly does a great job.

As usual, Birddog had something new (to me at least) - a neat card reader from Transcend.

johndec arrived a little later to make sure his wallet stays lighter on departure (only another lens this time :) )

Mrs. Birddog provided a pasta dish for lunch and reckons we can all call her Maria :!: :!: What a multi-talented group :D

Apart from Mr and Mrs Birddog being amazing hosts, Mrs birddog being a fabulous chef, she is also a lovely lady!

Just wish I could get to the mini meets more often

Where is the dearest place in Australia? Vaucluse? Double Bay? Toorak? WRONG WRONG WRONG !! It's bloody Belmore

Well it is for me anyway. I can feel my hip pocket nerve ache just driving down Canterbury Road... And guess what, I LOVE spending every one of those dollars, after all you can't take it with you. Thanks Birdy.

P.S. That pasta was delicious. Thanks Mrs Birddog
P.P.S. I'm always the last to arrive. The curse of the self employed.

Thanks for the report Joe, and I'm glad everyone enjoyed themselves. Mr and Mrs Birddog are terrific hosts!

This saturday just past was the first time in HK that I saw the sun come out. I guess it must have coincided with the Sydney D70 mini-meet. :)
