I found out about these guys through a few people on the forum and was very suprised to find out that they dont actually have a mention here at all.

I ordered a Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 1tb HDD, selected the Vantec NexStar HDD dock for a combo buy and then checked with their online support to see if I needed a Sata cable for the drive, which I was promptly told I did and recommended a suitable cable. I ordered this at 12.30-1pm on Tuesday and my package arrived at 8.30am on Wednesday.

They even allow you to pay using paypal...at a lower surcharge than Visa (not sure why though).

I am a very happy customer...currently initialising my new HDD. mwave!

I's also give them a thumbs up on both price and service. I've dealt with them a few times and have been happy.

I am also going to have the joys of dealing with their returns department as my Vantec Dock does not work using the eSATA connection. Two thumbs up for their online support who spent a good hour and a half on Thursday helping me troubleshoot with no avail. I have requested an RA and been given one with the not so small print reminding me that I may be charged a $50 admin fee + manufacturer inspection/rejection fees that may be applicable if the unit is not truly faulty.....(is this trying to convince me not to send the unit back??). I have also asked if I can drop it off in person to their Lidcombe office but have yet to get a reply.

I'll keep you all posted!

I dropped off the unit at their Lidcombe office on Monday and recieved notification that they will be replacing the faulty HDD dock today. So it is still thumbs up to mwave from me!
