D70 not working

Postby striking on Thu Nov 24, 2005 8:46 pm

evening all,

ive been off the net for the past 6 months ( new career) buying and moving into house etc etc

but im back :) ( hope to catch up for a chat Raydar)

anyway the point to this post.... my d70 is screwing up...
when i turn it on the green card light just flashes... ive tried 3 different cards and they all have the same effect,
then i couldnt not turn the camera off....ive tried my spare battery, no change, ive tried charging my battery and they are both full
i pressed the reset button on the bottom and the camera worked for about 3 photos (only single shooting worked......
at the moment i have the camera switch in the off positiion and the top screen looks as though it is still on it even changes the display when i switch modes on the command dial...

has anyone had a similar problem or offer advise ??
ofcourse my 12 month expiry is out of date by 12 months :(

thanks all

-Chris

Blinking Green Light Of Death.
We have a thread somewhere on here, Nikon recalled this issue few weeks ago, and they had ton of the D70 returned to them.

Edit: wherever you bought, Maxwell will look after it for you.

Sorry, No Maxwell in Brisbane, it's Maxwell/ Nikon Authorized Repair Centre: Anderson.

You need to go to Anderson's, who are the Maxwell agent, White Pages entry:

Capalaba 14 Merritt St 4157 (07) 3245 6444

Your camera will be fixed FOC even if it is out of warranty. Mine has been there, and several others from this forum also.

Good luck.
