That guy is a lunatic!

He is demonstrating obsessive compulsive behaviour. Takes so many photos, he doesn't have time to do any PP, or learn anything about photography. An example of the downside of digital - it is too easy to blaze away without thought, and no cost other than wearing out your camera. He has averaged 1000+ per day! (And I gather, is completely amateur)

 PS; that guy is totally psycho and obsessed with his dogs and his camera.

His comment that he was taking so many photos that he didn't have any time to learn about photography is very telling

Heh, I'm glad he was the guinea pig. :)

IIRC, shutter replacement is in the vicinity of $400-800. Not sure if that's Aussie or US... those numbers just popped into my head so it's either way back from somewhere I read or I just made it up. ;)

I just tried reading the forum replies, it has generated a lot of traffic and makes me wonder where he finds the time to even post a message. I gave up after getting half way through. I agree the guy is a lunatic, this is not my idea of photography. Photographers finger is the funniest comment re this, deserves a new thread.
In the end we know Nothing, but in the meantime Learn like crazy.
