That guy is a lunatic!

He is demonstrating obsessive compulsive behaviour. Takes so many photos, he doesn't have time to do any PP, or learn anything about photography. An example of the downside of digital - it is too easy to blaze away without thought, and no cost other than wearing out your camera. He has averaged 1000+ per day! (And I gather, is completely amateur)

Remember that TV show - Never Mind The Quality, Feel the Width?

That what my thoughts also. I don't know what will he get in the real term of doing that?

Look on the bright side.

Cheers

So prepare yourself a fat piggy bank when the counter of the D70 reachs 6 figures for a new cam.

How much would a new shutter cost when it does finally go (if I ever got to 100k)?

PS; that guy is totally psycho and obsessed with his dogs and his camera.

His comment that he was taking so many photos that he didn't have any time to learn about photography is very telling

Heh, I'm glad he was the guinea pig. :)

IIRC, shutter replacement is in the vicinity of $400-800. Not sure if that's Aussie or US... those numbers just popped into my head so it's either way back from somewhere I read or I just made it up. ;)

I just tried reading the forum replies, it has generated a lot of traffic and makes me wonder where he finds the time to even post a message. I gave up after getting half way through. I agree the guy is a lunatic, this is not my idea of photography. Photographers finger is the funniest comment re this, deserves a new thread.
