Are there any North Coast members interested in a day trip?
I would recommend Evan Head with it beaches, headlands and bush walks. Plenty to keep us changing lenses.
Any other ideas?
Cheers - Greg

Well that goes without saying!!! A chance to take the D70 and SB-800 off road into the rainforest is always a good thing, just say the word!!!
Are there any other members on the NSW far north coast????

Craig, good to see you found the thread saved me a call
Do you have a location/s or suggestions? You started this.
Maybe we should throw a few dates around?
Craig -
BTW where are Jordans cricket pic postings?

Anyone mention Nth Coast mini meet? Count me in, if I can make it. I've tried about 4-5 times to get to meets in Syd and Bne and just can never organise my schedule.
I'm here in Coffs, Craig is in Lismore, if I'm around anyone is welcome to stop in and have a cuppa cha at my place enroute somewhere.
I think it would be good if someone with a bit of nous would enlighten some of us as to cleaning the CCD? Maybe this could be included if someone was up to it?
Cheers, and keep us informed.

That's 2 of us Max ......
Is coming this far north as issue for you, or should we look for locations down towards Yamba or something?
As for CCD cleaning, I haven't yet but perhaps we should extend an extra special invitation to some of the folk from Sydney or Brisbane who are proficiant in this art?
Another idea is if I can track Raydar down - I know he has cleaned his before, but he's been very quiet of late.
cheers,

No problems there, Lismore's fine, Yamba is good too if that is convenient. (Lismore may not be that good for surf photos though
)
Coffs Hbr has a fine Botanic Gardens, plus jetty, harbour, beaches, rainforest etc if anyone wants to come down this way. There's also Dorrigo area but that may be a little too far south.
Were you thinking National Park? Gardens? Or just a general whatever? I'm fine any way/where we go.

Four and hopefully more to express interest.
It looks like Craig’s date is the go, now for the location.
I wouldn't mind Coffs with Max as the guide, we can car pool this end.
That my two bob's worth, gentlemen your choices.
Question: Is it permited to put images in this thread?
Cheers - Greg

No probs there Craig, I've been offline for a week now in NZ (sunny Rotorua tonight), would be happy to do something in Coffs. My wife Robyn makes a mean batch of date scones and everyone will be welcome!
My Father-in-Law works at the Botanic Gardens as a volunteer, he can arrange for us whatever we like. We could drop in to McCauley's headland late afternoon to see what the surf is doing, might be lucky and have a good swell and a few pros if there's any interest. The marina/jetty/Muttonbird island area is also wonderful for photography any time of day.
My house in Woolgoolga is available as a meeting place, maybe everyone could meet there for morning tea and then head on down to Coffs. We are approx 15 minutes north of Coffs right on the Pacific Hwy.
If those definitely coming want to PM me I will give out directions etc.
What time do you think is a good start time?

That all sounds great to me!!! I've never been to the coffs botanic gardens and have always mean't to have a look so this will be a good excuse to go. Might bring the family along for a look as well and score some much needed brownie points!

Morning tea sounds great to me Max - how does 10:30am at your place sound?
Between the gradens and the surf (which I'm particularly keen for) it sounds like an adventure packed day.
Not too early a start for the family Tony?
You good with that time Greg?

It's a shame you can't make this one oneputt. You will be missed - as to the rest of the qld crew.
Rest assured we will keep you informed of any adventures we plan.

Good as done, I may not be online much over the next few weeks as I'm not home in Oz until mid November, 10.30am sounds fine to me.

It would be great if you could come. I would love to pick your brains about how to make the SB800 sing.

Woolgoolga has a great Brasserie called Bluebottles, I try to stop there on my trips south for a meal. They also serve the biggest muffins I have ever seen.........

Living 5 minutes walk from Bluebottles has it's advantages, and also it's (waistline) disadvantages! Great place to eat, flat white and mixed berry muffin keeps you going all day long!

I'm taking the wife and kids to Byron Bay that weekend and although I would LOVE to come just that little bit further down to party with you guys I don't think it's going to be achievable. DAMN! So close and yet...
I could have done your sensor for you Max!
