Lamington National Park

I will be adventuring out to Lamington National Park on this Friday (17th Dec) to wander around with all the gear and take shots. With all the rain we have had recently the waterholes, waterfalls, etc will be very full. Lots of critters should be out also.

If anyone wants to tag along they are more than welcome. If not, someone please call my wife if I don't happen to be online by Saturday evening :)

Watch out for those leaches. We were up there a few years back and it hadn't rained for ages. Started raining and the leaches came out in force. The waterfalls are pretty amazing though!

I now get up at roughly the same time that I once would get home after a night out.

0430 actually looks a lot better at the start of your day than at the end of it!!

Xerubus,

I won't be able to make it on the Friday (bummer) - I love Lamington NP - are you heading to Bina Burra or O'Rileys? Excellent time of the morning too. Can't wait to see what you capture.

If you are planning on a decent walk there are some incredible vistas on the Ships Stern Curcit out of Bina Burra (about 20k)

Let me know where you will be anyway incase I get "sick" at work on the Thursday  hehehe

I will be going to binna burra.... I just took friday off in leave as i need a break and to give from attention to the d70 before it divorces me :)

FYI: I am currently trying to arrange a day trip with Glen Trelfo from O'Reilly's. Not sure if you know him, but he's the resident pro photographer up there and takes absolutely amazing shots. Will keep you in the loop as to when and what costs are involved.

For anyone considering to go to the national park at some stage, here's a link with the different walking tracks and info about each track.

I was hoping no-one would ask that.... I set everything up the night before, including warm clothing, first aid, etc just incase...

so... i get down there... have a little look around... find my first opportunity... turn on camera... hmmmm... no power... hmmmm...

AGHHHHHH! Charged the battery the night before and was so excited I left my battery at home :(

Investment in a couple of batteries coming very soon.

cheers

xerubus,
Loan a Ford Territory and install a solar panel on its roof with the charger plug ins. This will solve your problem.
Sorry to hear that.

Of course, they should give you the Territory to drive :D :D
The power inverter will do the job instead of the adaptor.
