I'm looking at enrolling in the BCPA (Bris College of Photography and Art) to do their "Specialist Studio Lighting Course" and was wondering if any other QLD members wish to join me.
Course details as follows:

Studio Lighting Course

This course is designed to teach students the finer points of working
with electronic flash. It commences with instructions on the different
types of flash and the various accessories and light shapers in use.
?Fill-in? flash and guide number calculations are next on the agenda.

In the studio, participants will be shown the importance of changing the
lighting style to suit the subjects face. Controlling contrast via the use of
light ratio?s will also be explained. A fashion model will be provided for
the students to photograph.

The course also incorporates explanations of lighting techniques for
small product photography. A ?hands on? lighting exercise for product
photography follows, using a translucent light table.

Only 8 students will be enrolled to ensure personalised tuition of the
highest calibre.

Time: 6.30 - 8.30pm each Wednesday

6 week course

Fee: $395.00

Even if I had read your post earlier I don't think I could have gone unfortunately, as I'll be travelling to Townsville and Rockhampton for my work a couple times over the next 6 weeks.

I'd love to hear how you go with it though.

Your progression, course relevance, instructional quality etc.

Keep in touch mate
