Neighbourhood Planning Photo competition What do you love about your neighbourhood now and into the future? Answer this question with a photo and a few words in the latest competition by Brisbane City Council. Your images could depict what you love about your neighbourhood, what makes it special or how you would like it to look and feel in the future. Other ideas may include what makes your neighbourhood a friendly place or images of the places and things you value. If you enter the competition you will need to write 30-40 words about the photo you have submitted and what it represents. Photos will be judged on two criteria - photographic merit, and creative insight into the meaning of your neighbourhood through words and image Prizes are: 1st prize: $1500 cash 2nd prize: Canon Ixus 700 digital camera valued at $800 3rd prize: Sandisk Extreme iii 1 GB secure digital memory card valued at $280 Prizes can be redeemed for cash. This competition is an innovative way for the people of Brisbane to get involved in the Neighbourhood Planning consultation process. Using their creativity, residents can express their vision of Brisbane’s unique neighbourhoods and contribute to the debate on how and where Brisbane will grow.
