Looks like I'll be in town for the last weekend in November (probably with a rental car while my wife's in meetings during the day). Any suggestions of interesting things/places I should investigate?
Thanks

that would depend on what sort of shots you are after.
Obviously there are all the beaches etc so if this is your interest, check out the coastal strips and things like the captain cook lighthouse.
The razorback lookout behind coolangatta for the overall scenery of tweed /coolangatta.
If you like cute birds etc try the currumbin sanctuary
For nature in general, waterfalls etc check out the hinterland behind the gold coast. waterfalls around springbrook etc.
My favourite area would be the natural arch in the Numinbah valley.

Hi Dave.
Check this forum out:

There is a googleearth link, (if you have access to that) which has some locations on it, so check out what might be nearby. I'm not too sure where coolangatta is though, but I'm pretty sure there are some posts in there that are not far away.
Cheers,
Owen.

I agree with Avkomp, the Hinterland has some speccy locations if you can get to it. Head for Springbrook and look for Purlingbrook Falls and Best of All Lookout.
Closer to Coolie, Kirra Hill provides a good overview of the town with views north to Surfers and south along Coolangatta, Greenmount and Rainbow beaches.

this has already been listed, but here is a link.......

Also a drive into the currumbin valley is good in parts, lots of coast to shoot, Coolangatta has a small harbour but interesting, you are about a little over an hours drive to Bryon Bay and the mountains behind Bryon........ I can get some more info when I am at home next week if you want.......

Thanks folks.
Springbrook looks very interesting. Not sure if I'll be up for Yet Another Zoo @ Currumbin, but we'll see.
I'm really only going to have 1.5 days (minus socialising time) so it'll probably be a case of checking out Springbrook on the Saturday and finding a location for Sunday morning.
Thanks for the suggestions!

The day you check out springbrook, I would do a loop and check out the natural arch @ numinbah also, I think the last time I went to the arch, I looked at the stuff around springbrook also.
