Anyone work for Sydney Harbour National Park?

Postby gleff on Mon Oct 31, 2005 10:56 am

I was thinking it would be an interesting photo opportunity to go on a private tour or something of the Manly Quarantine Station.

We were very lucky when Nigel got us exclusive access to Jenolan Caves, and was wondering if anyone worked for the Sydney Harbour National Park that can perhaps organise something

If not, perhaps if there's enough interest and people don't mind paying, we can try and organise something ourselves. I'm not sure if we'd get to see what we want if it's us that organise it though. I know there are lots of buildings but the public tours are strict on what you can see.

Just a thought.

gleff,
It's a good idea for outing but from now till March, I don't think we have much chance in doing this, coz it seems to me almost the event calendar is now full with activities till March (SB800 workshop and other will be in late Feb and haven't added to the calendar yet).

March sounds good to me :) I suppose we need to establish if it's something that can be done and/or worth doing first though.. then we would have lots of time to organise. :)

Gleff,
March is too far away and I don't think anyone knows if they still alive or survive in March
Let it rolls in once we are at the end of January, once people back to work from their holiday/ break.

Can I suggest SB800 workshop is not until March also? We already have two major events planned for Feb ;) (Hunter Valley and Picnic). Add to that we now have a scout thing which was supposed to be yesterday rescheduled to Feb as well and the new year is starting to fill up!

I've approached the monastery to request for the use of the hall for our SB800 workshop within the two remaining weeks at the end of Feb 06.

I see no harm in seeing if it is possible to organise such an event - if it can be organised, then the date can be set for an appropriate time in 2006

Geoff - excellent suggestion. I will be in for this without a doubt! Not far for me to go either :)
