Something of a first....
I just heard that the town of Lithgow in the foothills of the Blue mountains west of Sydney is having an Iron Festival soon. Nothing overly exciting in that I know, but as part of the festival they are also having......
....a jousting competition! 
I've never seen one in real life, and can only imagine it must be good to get some photos off. A quick google shows that it's done in full metal armour, with points awarded for shield hits, but not for skewering the other 'knight' or I imagine, killing them. If anyones interested I'll keep them posted. 2x D700, 2x D2h, lenses, speedlights, studio, pelican cases, tripods, monopods, patridges, pear trees etc etc
