Assignment #2 - Gutter Politics

Postby gstark on Thu Sep 02, 2004 12:11 pm

Given the fine examples set for us by our political ... er, um, ah .... by our elected representatives, I thought that we shoul bring ourselves down to their level (in my case though, it's a bit of a climb) and let's see what we can find in the gutters.

Perhaps it'll be clogged with leaves, twigs, or bark?

Maybe a rusty can?

An old FJ Holden?

A stream of rainwater after a storm?

Or, perchance, a politican, tired and emotional from all of the digging through the pork barrels and consuming from the trough of the public purse.

Have fun, people!

Gary, fantastic choice of subjects. It will be interesting to see what shots we get from this subject.

Glen,

Thanx, yes. It's wide open, and could be a whole lot of fun.

And, FWIW, I would also consider a stormwater drain as being acceptable; likewise a gutter in a 10-pin bowling alley!

:)

Quick browse throught my image collection after reading of this topic... I had previously never thought to photograph these things! It's certainly been an eye opener for me. :)

I missed a great opportunity to photograph my local member for Bennelong (PM John Howard) because i was at our meet at Ramsgate taking photos of airliners and he was out-and-about Ryde and Eastwood shaking hands with prospective labour/green voters.

Not to worry......

Ya can always take a photo representing political leaders.

Remember the book, "The Animal Farm"?

I gave a problem with that expression.

Since when (in recent times) has any politician shown "leadership"

As long as they sit on a prime office, they're leaders to me
