See you there, I'll be hanging out for the last week or so of June at Volterra. I've got the Ufizzi and 'David' booked. Quick stop in rome on the way back.

Let me know where and when 8)

Any other suggestions for great photo ops around tuscany, I've got a car. I'm going for the classic, Pisa thing, with the lean as well. Might have to photoshop it straight hehe

Justin,

From Pisa take the coastal road and head north.

Stop frequently once you get to Le Cinque Terre. Have lunch in Moterosso Al Mare, in the cafe on the beach just to the right as you come into the village.

And take a walk around the point. You will not be disappointed; it's very easy to spend a day or three there.

And before you get to Pisa, remember to pay your respects in Maranello. Visit the Ferrari museum, and take note that there is one car in the museum that is not a Ferrari. Up the road, of course, is the factory.

And at the end of the road is the test track. If you're lucky, you'll hear a noie that sounds like mosquitoes. Pop your head over the fence and watch the F1s at play.

Of course, once you're in this part of the world, you're also in Reggiano country. Stop at a farm and buy yourself a small quantity. Grab a half litre of the local vino, some bread and prosciutto, and have a picnic somewhere.

Life will be good and who needs a hotel room anyway. :)

We're staying overnight in Cinque Terrra - actually we canned a trip up the Eiger to do this, as it sounded so nice. Will I get the significant other to the Ferrari factory though...

That leaning tower really leans - I spent my time pressed up against the inside wall  Notice no railings around the outside apart from the very top. This pic is from 1986:

Hi Justin,
if you go to Tuscany you have to go to Siena, because is a beautiful middle-age town and when there you have to go to Montalcino, near Siena. Eat "Fiorentina steak" or some "Tuscany Dish" and drink the best "Italian Wine" called "Brunello di Montalcino" is really expensive but after you'll try you'll know why.
Anywhere and anything in Tuscany is marvellous....Just people :( ... to many Italians!

If you need anything let me know.

My wife and I are heading to Italy in Sept for 3 weeks and have booked a villa outside Siena, hopefully most holiday makers will be gone by then
Can't wait :D
Will have to keep those famous pickpockets away from the D2Hs :?

Cheers
