Old historic farm close to Melbourne

G'day,
Went out to Gulf Station today (not the best time of day for light at lunch-time but was fun anyway) and really enjoyed the atmosphere. You can almost hear the people of the time. Really friendly care-takers, chatted with them for quite a while to get the history of the previous families and owners. The buildings still have all the original odds-and-sods etc...

If you're into old historic farms (original(!) timber slab buildings) lost of old farm machinery with a few animals (Clydesdale's, pigs, sheep, ducks, geese etc) then it's definately worth a drive out there, various picnic spots and it's near the wineries too!

Might be worth a group meet there as they were keen on the idea when I was chatting about the D70 forum...??? I'll post some pics later...

I'm travelling down to Rutherglen from Newcastle after Easter.
I was down there around the same time last year & went to Glenrowan and Millawa as well, but nothing between the border & Rutherglen. While its primarily a wine visit my D70 wants to tag along.

Any tips on good places for photos around the border?

From the border to Rutherglen there is an old windmill which a number of blades broken. At the base is a collaspsed water tank. I like this picture and it is one of those which will disappear in the future. It only ten kilometres from All Saints.

At Wodonga on the river you will find the paddle steamer but it looks best during summer while the water is high.

Easy. Take some pics (guess you have ) then do the following:

• If not already logged in, login to pixspot by pointing at the @ symbol to reveal the Login link & clicking it
• Once logged in click the Create/Order My albums button to go to Album Manager
• Click the 'New' button to add an album name
• Replace the default name with one of your choosing
• Add as many albums as you want using the above process
• Click Apply Modifications then click OK and click continue button to return to User galleries
• point at the @ again to reveal the Upload file option
• Click upload file link to go to the file upload area
• Click a browse button and locate a file to upload. Try to keep your files a reasonable size (<200K is good) and limit the image to 1000 pixels or so on its largest edge by resizing it - remember it's only for online viewing. Jpeg format is best format for uploads.
• Once you've identified the files to upload click Continue then wait for the upload to happen. This will take a while - especially if you have dial up
• From there you should be able to follow the steps to give a name and description for each file and choose the gallery to place the image in.
