THE SUN IS OUT!

So a final encouragement to all those thinking of going to the BBQ this morning to head down to little Manly, 10am onwards...
I know I will at least be chatting to Geoff and Stubbsy about challenge 11 so if you want some input come along (ok that was a blatant attempt at bribery... but eh.. what can a man do?)

See you all there!

Great words of encouragement Scott.
The bacon is ready, the eggs are ready
The champagne is ready
The onions
The sausages
The cameras
The soft drink
The bread rolls... :)
Hot tea/coffee

Come one come all and enjoy, it's not raining, from 10am onwards.

The kids can play on the equipment and the adults can sit on the edge of the harbour sharing each other's company whilst playing with camera equipment and having a feast - life is good.

I imagine the day to wind up around 1-2pm or a bit after.

I'm envious. Oh well I'll just have to get my act together next year and make sure I head down for the AW.
I hope all had an excellent weekend. Enjoy the BBQ! :)

Thanks to all who came - I didn't take one photo believe it or not but there were many around! Extra special thanks to Scott for his assistance with the BBQ, mate - your blood is worth bottling. Whilst it was rather windy the attendance and comittment people put in made it a fantastic brunch event!!

Bel and I would like to thank each of the twenty or so people that rocked up from all parts of Sydney - a fantastic effort :)

Thanks for the effort you and Bel put into the BBQ. It was a great morning despite the bitterly cold wind, salty spray from crashing waves, pesky photographers, couples who dragged their children along, couples who dragged their partners along, prying passer-bys, screeching gulls, Diesel belching boats and ferries, skateboarders and...my pet hate....people who walk their dogs and pick the hot poo up with their hands inside a small thin clear plastic bag. YUK! Get a life dog walkers!
Bring on the next one I can hardly wait! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
Seriously....brilliant work and the North Head Artillery museum next time might be a great idea.
Cheers!

Today was a beautiful day...despite the morning clouds and strong winds :P

Thanks Geoff for organising it, cant wait for next one which we get to go on some more serious shooting around :)
Did we moved more than 50metres away from point to point between shots today? I hardly see so, but sure there are plenty of different angle and view perspectives coming up :D

Christmas might be a bit hard. The downfall of living and working in a holiday town! :violin:
I had mentioned to Gary that I will be in Sydney for a weekend sometime in September and hope to catch up with a few members then.
Planning now to ensure that the next AW is a definate thing for me.

My wife (Alicia) and I had a great day yesterday and thank Geoff for arranging the sunshine for the hours we were all there.

It was great to meet everyone and look forward to the next meet.

I will post some of my pics soon.

Cheers
