Anyone up for dinner in Rotorua?

Postby sheepie on Thu Jan 11, 2007 5:58 pm

Open invitation for anyone near Rotorua on the 13th, 14th or 15th Feb to join Stubbsy and me for dinner ;)

Seriously, is anyone else going to NZ in Feb? Let's compare schedules!

Take your clothes pegs!

And read all signs carefully!

Just kidding! Rotorua is quite picturesque and historically very significant. Lots of photographic fun to be had.

I'll be in NZ from the 12th till the 16th on family matters
but will need a few breaks to wind down (with camera)
I'll be based around Wanganui but I'm planing a day trip or 2
was thinking of
New Plymouth area or maybe National park and the mountains
don't think I can make it as far a Rotorua but if you guys are coming down a bit further maybe we could meet in the middle
flying in and out of Palmerston North via Auckland (in Monday Out Sunday)

OK - as would be the normal situation, it would appear dates are working against us!

We leave Palmy on Sunday (11th) for National Park (via Wanganui), then Rotorua on Monday night. Staying in Taupo on the following Thursday night, then over to Napier, then back to Palmy on the Saturday (17th). If you're still around Palmy on the Saturday then maybe we could say hi - won't be in until later in the day though.

Let's know when your flight out is and we'll see what happens - out plans around Napier are a little fluid at this stage (to the extent that we could come back on the Friday if the weather's crap) :)

if you do get back to Palmy on the Friday that could be the go.
I'll be tied up with family on the Saturday/Sunday
(I got the date wrong I'll be leaving on the 18th)
my niece works in Palmy so getting over for the day won't be a problem
I'll pm my mobile number and email so if the weather is crap and you come down early we can meet for lunch etc

Sounds good Keith - we'll see how we go. If we do get in on the Friday, it won't be until late in the day. Send us some contact details once you have them, and we'll go from there.

We'll look out for you flying over Ruapehu on Monday morning ;)
