Hmmm, it seems a lot of people are keeping their powder dry at the moment
Five entries so far, five very different interpretations of "a different perspective". It's going to be interesting when there are 40 different perspectives of a different perspective, if you know what I mean
Have to go and have a lie down now, my brain hurts thinking about it......

Yippeeee, heaps more pics to look at.
I don't know about everyone else, but i find shooting for a purpose (the challenge) to be difficult, not because of the subject, but the case of too much thought went into this pic thing, rather than just looking and finding something nice to photograph and then doing just that.
Anyone else get this???

I believe that with a challenge of this nature it is a brave man/woman who makes the first post.
MHD - expect a veritable flood of entries at the 10th hour

Screw the 10th hour. I wonder if MHD will accept entries posted at 11.59 or 12.00 (as opposed to 12.01)...

If it's like most server clocks, it should be at least one hour behind.

Oooh Oooh - I know! I know!
P.S. I liked it a lot too...
Edit:
Sorry to be annoying... but I spotted it as soon as the photo was posted (but won't divulge who / how) ...
I didn't twig about the photo date though...
I'm sure it was a misunderstanding... After all, the way I read the rules, I thought that the image had to be shot in January and then submitted in February - I thought it was a bit strange
Otherwise I would have posted a better photo

Like almost all errors it was pointed out by a fellow user
I rely on others as well as myself to find these errors and encourage it!
I do give things a cursary look but am usually buggered when I do it!

I am sorry for who posted it too, as I also liked it a lot. I am sure it was a misunderstanding too. There is another photo I think that is on the edge, but I don't believe it will have any material effect on the outcome, so will mention it to MHD after closing. My condolences to the person who is out.

It was me!!!!
Sorry guys (I have just noticed this post and would have posted earlier if I had seen that I was the centre of my first D70 forum controversy
)
Actually what happened is that the Theme for the comp was announced and I immediately went out shooting. I didn't even read that there was an 'eligible after' date. I thought that once the Theme was announced we were on. My dumb mistake. I should have read the post more carefully. Not trying to cheat I promise (that would have been easy with an EXIF editor).
The picture was taken on around 20 December 2004 (I think that the Theme was announced early December).
The real bugger is that since I took that shot I thought I really couldn't top it so I haven't tried that hard.
Maybe I'll stand on my head and take a picture of a duck this weekend.
Cheers

Jonesy, you poor bugger! We are not meant to talk about individual entries, but as you are out I think it is fair to say it was well received. Frustrating for you. You may want to check with MHD, I am not sure if you are out for the rest of Challenge 3.

No... I will allow re-entry given that no one can identify the re-entry being his...
This is the advantage of an early entry, if it was later I would say no... Usually I manage to pick these things up by carefully looking at the EXIF but as ajo's was one of the first ones in it slipped past...
