RAAF Airshow Sat/Sun 27th-28th OctHi guys and Girls.
Just wondering if anybody is heading out to RAAF Base Edinburgh (South Australia) next Sat or Sun for the Airshow? At this stage I will be heading out on the Saturday (possibly Sunday as well, but that will depend after Saturday night). Web Site http://www.raaf.gov.au/airshow/index.htm Program as listed on the site: The Flying program will be the same on both days: Morning: Beginning at 0845 will be: * GA Aircraft arrivals (0700 - 1000) * Large radio controlled models * RAAF Balloon tethered rides * Ex-RAAF Winjeel (RAAF Museum) * Fokker 27 Survey aircraft * Army Parachute Team – Red Berets * Gliding Display * Pip Borrman spectacular aerobatics display (Edge aircraft) Military Aircraft Display Summary: 1200 – 1600 * Opening: F-111 thunder supported by pyrotechnics * SkyBlazers - Chris Sperou - Pitts Special aerobatics including low altitude inverted streamer cut * CT4 pilot training aircraft * F-111 handling display * AP3C Orion formation, handling and operations display * RAAF Roulettes aerobatic display team * Meteor display (Temora Aviation Museum) * Canberra Bomber display (Temora Aviation Museum) * C130J Hercules display * Caribou display * RAN ‘Dancing Squirrels’ synchronised helicopter display * Boeing 707 air-refuelling demo with F/A-18s and BAe Hawk jets * 3 x BAe Hawk display * 4 x F/A-18 Hornet display * Mustang and Hornets formation * P51 Mustang display (RAAF Museum) * C-17 Globemaster, the Defence Force’s newest and largest aircraft * F/A-18 Hornet display * Program is subject to change and will be updated continuously
