Sue,

Gold and silver are minerals. Has your man not given you any of these?

I bombed out this time. My whole plan was based on getting a photograph of a sea star for "five" on my dive on Saturday. I didn't see one on the whole dive, let alone get a photograph. I then lost interest. :violin:

Of course she is welcome I seriously doubt that anyone here would not want her to join in on the fun! :)

and..

I didn't have time.. I tried to I really did.. but in between dates, the PMA thingy, an interstate houseguest for the weekend, a 50th birthday party and a seminar that took up most of Saturday I'm still trying to figure out what day it is.. sorry I'll do better next time I promise.. and you all have to forgive me though cause I've not yet cast my votes... ;)

Theme 1: ... Wet
A tough call. I like TonyT's interpretation; Firsty has a great photo that I could look at all day, but I feel the winner by a nose is PaulMac as his photo screams "Wet" to me.
Theme 2: ... Plane
PaulMac A great abstract, yet still recognisably on subject
Theme 3: ... Mineral
SarahMac... Great idea and brilliant timing. Did you have to bribe those birds?
Theme 4: ... Five
BigRed... It loses points because it's 55 not 5, but it's still the clear winner for me...

EDIT: Oh and happy birthday Sue. Did you get a photo of your cake. It surely had a "five" on it :P

MY PICKS

WET Paulmac - also liked Firsty's pic, but thought yours was more wet.

PLANE Mr Darcy - couldn't find all the parts to mine and thought the electric planes didn't do it.

MINERAL Big Red

FIVE Sarah - In my dreams too, but the wife won't let me.

Sarah, I look forward to seeing more of your pics and more than happy for you to participate in the next challenge.

Cheers all and thank again to Big Red

Wet:
Firsty's Fog photo (say that 10 times quickly). TonyT, I was terrified of these car washes as a kid. I handwash my car now...

Plane:
Mr Darcy's (hardly used) hand plane. However Tony T gets an honourable mention for being hassled by the cops.

Mineral:
TonyT and his Himalayan Salt Crystal. Points for uniqueness.

Five:
Mr Darcy for the beautiful flower macro. Runner up with a similarly lacking depth of field was Big Red's post boxes.
(And I can't vote for Sarah's picture, but I love the curves in this pic.)
