There is meant to be some pretty crazy swell in the coming days, Saturday is looking like a pretty good day for me. Its gonna be low tide (low at 7:25am) for sunrise - if it occurs and there is scattered showers, i think it could have potential for some moody black skies with some awesome wave/water action. I have not decided on the location yet so I am open to suggestions, however it will be either eastern burbs or northern beaches and its got to be a good surf location since I will hang around for half an hour or some and try and get some images of those nutters on those bits of foam. There is also a weather warning from BOM: IDN28501 Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology New South Wales Severe Weather Warning for damaging surf for people in the Metropolitan, South Coast, Illawarra, Hunter and Mid North Coast forecast districts. Issued at 4:23 am EST on Friday 22 July 2011. Weather Situation A complex low pressure system over the Tasman Sea is moving slowly to the east, while a ridge of high pressure extends over western New South Wales. Very heavy surf which may lead to localised damage and coastal erosion is forecast for parts of the Metropolitan, South Coast, Illawarra, Hunter and Mid North Coast forecast districts. Beach conditions in these areas could be dangerous and people should stay well away from the surf and surf exposed areas. For emergency help in floods and storms, ring your local SES Unit on 132 500. The next warning will be issued by 11:00 am EST Friday. This warning is also available through TV and Radio broadcasts; the Bureau's website at www.bom.gov.au or call 1300 659 218. The Bureau and State Emergency Service would appreciate this warning being broadcast regularly.

The big swell would suit a pool location for some nice water cascades

yep. My tripod almost got blown off and all my shots are blurry! The scale is not obvious on these but the waves were absolutely huge!
