New memberHi all,
have been reading the forums for a while, and decided to join up. I have had a Fuji S7000 for quite sometime, and have been fairly happy with it so far. Recently I have been having trouble getting the outcomes I want out of it though, so an upgrade to a more serious camera is hopefully going to happen in the next fortnight. Anyway I thought I would show a few shots . Be gentle. Cheers
Hi and welcome to the forum. I think the first and fourth pictures look great! In fact, it took me a couple of looks to notice that the fourth was actually a fish and not a hunk of coral. What sort of camera are you looking to upgrade to?
Nikon D7000
Welcome aboard. This is a great place to learn, and you'll find that there is a few here who enjoy underwater photography.
I like your images, that sure is one ugly fish in the last two! 2x D700, 2x D2h, lenses, speedlights, studio, pelican cases, tripods, monopods, patridges, pear trees etc etc

Hi and Welcome.
I too own a s7000 it's not a bad camera, but when I went to the D70 I felt my shots just started to jump off the page. No shutter lag etc. However, I still have the s7000 as it still does come in handy now and again, using the macro function and the video just to name 2 features that make it worthwhile keeping. Cheers Tony All I know, is that I don't know enough.....
Well alright...I have upgraded.
Bought a 2nd hand 300D + battery grip, remote button thingo, kit lens and filters for $300 from my wifes boss, still in box with manuals. Its only done 6000 cycles, and takes great clear shots. I fired off about 400 shots on the weekend with mixed results, but thoroughly enjoyed myself (the important part). Totally kicks butt over my other camera. The idea is I can always get a 40D later, when I have mastered not using full auto mode! As soon as I do some PP, I will brave a reviews and critiques thread.
