Perth - Australia Day Fireworks Photos

Postby mrbishi on Thu Jan 29, 2009 11:59 am

Hi all - had a go at taking a few shots of the Australia day fireworks from a park next door to a friends. Am fairly pleased with the results considering my remote packed in it and I was activating the shutter by pressing the button. Shot on my D40 and 55-200vr.

Did anyone else get some shots?

Welcome to the forum and can I say very nice fireworks photos. I really like the city's silhouette against the bright light show above.

Welcome to the forum. Fireworks are a difficult subject and you've done admirably with these. Like Craig #3 is the standout for me the brighter greens give more impact to the city skyline silhouette.

I was wondering about all the commotion on Monday.... 8)

brighter greens give more impact to the city skyline silhouette.

:agree:

All very nice, nice exposure on all of them, the only gripe would be the straight-ness - engineers would not be happy about them leaning buildings :D

But architects might like it :D or maybe we can have the leaning towers of Perth

I like the green fireworks one with the silhouetted people, much more interesting than other fireworks shots I've seen of a light in the sky.
