Well managaed to pick up an adapter today, so now those with the nikons can take pictures through my scopes...There is a 1000mm to play with and a 2000mm as well. If you come to the observatory at Stockport, I can let you play with a 4000mm, they dont come much bigger than that..
BBJ and Marvin will get the first play this week down in Mt Gambier - using the 2000mm

To you and Marvin have a good and safe trip down the Mount.

I am sure there will be plenty of laughter around BBJ.

It's almost reason alone to visit Adelaide (not that I really need a reason, just the time!).

Maybe it's time to come and visit my family ;)

Lee, need u ask why he is up that late? But this sounds good Virgs, as i am feeling a better now so being out after dark will be ok as long as work doesn't ring too much should be ok. This will be good to play with, something differant.

Hi Fozzie & Big V,

I'd be dead keen on a trip to Stockport - any pictures I could get would only be a bonus!! Winter would be the best time I guess - clearer atmosphere? I suppose more risk of clouds though....

Cheers

That's the very reason why he does not get up at your place or any place until about noon

Ok more good news. we have just installed a new fan in the main dome which will help with the seeing conditions...The portable set up is working well and we even have a generator to go with it so that it can be taken to any location.normally the darkest skies are without power - go figure.. So it is looking good for all. Nope we do not wait till winter as you lose some of the best objects in the night sky..another beauty of astronomy, you get lots of different targets both throughout the night and throughout the year.. Oh I had just gotten home Lee..
