Hi tyrone_tong - I'm in Brisbane, and am old, but you are definitely among friends here :) Welcome to the forum, and looking forward to seeing more of your photos.
Good luck with your studies, and I'm sure you'll find a photography club in Adelaide :)

Hi tyrone_tong,

Welcome to the forum!

There might be a photography club at the uni, which would be worth joining. Also, there are one or two of the forum members from Adelaide who may be closer to your age than I (I'm assuming beacuse you're studying here that you're a LOT younger than I am   )

My wife and I are off to Hong Kong in eight weeks or so for a holiday, perhaps you'll be able to give me some tips!

Cheers

tyrone... Don't let age worry you... the mini-meets are usually a mixed bag of all age groups and everyone is welcome...
You can learn a lot from the older (sometimes more experienced) members...

Yes the old ones are full of it!

Knowledge that is.
And the young ones make the older ones feel young....

And then there are those of us who are not young and are not old....... (This is my official mid-life crisis year)

Hi Tyrone,
We do meet every 2 months or so and you are more than welcome to join us. Most of us aren't student age though, in fact BigV is exceptionally old  . I think DanielA might be the youngest of the regulars, the rest of us are over 30! We are getting so old.....

Hi there tyrone - welcome to Adelaide and the forum. As robw25 has stated we had a 'Meet' at the 'Tour Down Under' yesterday, and probably have another one in about 8-10 weeks time. Watch out in the Adelaide & Perth section and eventually for the confirmation date in the Calendar section on the home page.

Thanks Tyrone,

I may pick your brains in the near future!.

Camera stuff is indeed very expensive here in Oz, but members of the forum are privileged to be able to purchase goods from Hong Kong from forum member Poon, who gives us excellent and reliable service. I think though, that you may not need to take advantage of this, once you qualify!

Even though I probably won't buy any camera gear over there (well not much anyway :D ) I'm sure the ladies market will get shopped from one end to the other, and back again

Cheers
