Tuesday morning
The bride myself & Warren jr are off for 8 days in the Flinders
We belong to a online forum( paid up club member) called Exploreoz .com & we are having our national meeting this year @ Warraweena
2 years ago it was @ Birdsville
there is about 47 4by's & around 120 people all told @ last count confermed
There will be plenty of 4x4ing on the 6 tracks on the property tall stories around the camp fire & a little bit of drinking & i hope to get in alot of photography time
there is even a bush band & 2 offical tall story tellers on Saterday night when the local school is putting on a sausage sizzle & soft drink as a fund raiser for their school & the RFDS
with all the rain nature should be @ its best @ the moment
There should be some good 4x4ing shots , some great sunsets & sunrises
(if i get up early or go to bed late enough) lol
And just a bit of advice if someone can help what sort of setting would you use of a night around a camp fire .As i would really like to nail some candids

Have fun 4wd'ing, you lucky thing. Sure wish I was up there now doing the same thing. A beautiful SA area!

Have fun, I was up there a few weeks ago (southern end around Wilpena Pound though) and decided I'll only ever go again in Winter. The lack of flies during the day is beautiful.

Rug up if you want to do any long exposures at night though, because it gets bloody cold!

slow speed makes it pretty hard to get everyone blur free and if you use flash you lose the colour of the fire.
Trying to get everyone to sit completely still for 15 seconds is a nightmare but you can have a lot of fun with it

Definitely go the slow shutter speed/ tripod/ remote release. Even the Embers/sparks from the Fireplace make for some great photos

Lucky you... i was going to be going up there next weekend for 10 days- up around Blinman way, but unfortunately an offer for a job i just cant let slide has come up.
