Hi All,
I got referred here by another member. This is the closest list I could find to home. Must say it's a little remiss that the Northern Territory isn't in the locales list - but I noticed Tassie isn't either so I don't feel to bad. I live in NE Arnhem Land well away from city stress - nearest traffic lights are 730km
Anyway I drive Land Rovers and shoot Nikon. Currently have a D200 (about 6 months old) after getting the hang of digital with P&S. Found I missed my old 35mm Nikon SLR's and wanted to do something with my lenses. Reckon I'll be in the market for a D3 later in 2008 but not just yet as I want to buy some more glass. I mainly shoot landscape but have found an interest in birds & macro is developing too.
Heres a couple of recent pic's of mine.

Welcome Derek, glad you found the place.
Don't get too hung up about the lack of a dedicated NT list. As you say Tassie missed out too. No matter, we just gate crash all the other lists.
They're a friendly bunch around here. I've caught up with some of the Melbourne and Sydney based members in my inter state trips and it's been great fun.
Cheers
John

Welcome to this happy place.
You are not the only member from the NT (or Tas) so don't feel left out.
I love that first image of the landrover.
The wharf in the third image looks familiar. Is that Gove?

Oh and Happy new year... nice to have you onboard!
The last thing I want to do is hurt you... but it's still on the list...

Welcome to the forums Derek, I like your taste in both car and camera, although I hope you treat your Nikon a little kinder

#1 Not quiet. Just took the opportunity that presented itself. Drove through line first to make sure it was safe and wasn't going to get run down.
#2 I think is a form of crocus. The flower is about 10cm across and one of a pair that come from a bulb and only appear in the wet season, bit like a large rain lilly. Still need to identify this one.

Welcome aboard! Not a bad part of the world up there. I've spent a few times in Nhulunbuy doing various bits from work to recreation
First image really is great!
And Sue, Now I know what is wrong with you You've spent time growing up in the NT (So did I mind you, although roaming the roads of Humpty Doo as a teenager and backyard of Berrimah as a kid )
