Postby fozzie on Mon Jul 13, 2009 8:37 pm

This weekend is to celebrate the 5th Anniversary of D70Users.com/DSLRUsers.com.

The following ideas come to mind:

Saturday - 8th August, 2009

Meet in the City at 2-2:30pm for several hours of shooting followed by a Cafe meal in Rundle Street East.

or

Sunday - 9th August, 2009

Meet at Cudlee Creek Cafe at 11:30am for an early lunch and then off to Gorge Wildlife Park for an afternoon of shooting.

If you are interested, please indicate either Saturday or Sunday. As usual majority rules.

I'm free both days as well. I think the city has more options if it rains, like sitting in the pub, so I'll lean that way.

I should be able to come to either day.
I'd probably lean towards Sunday. Just to balance it up. :D But I agree about the possible weather issue.

I play soccer on Saturday, so Sunday will be my choice... been watching the forums for a while, and always looking for other enthusiasts to team up with!

There was some discussion about the legal rights of street photographers. I usually carry a PDF from the Arts Law Center that details street photographers rights. Basically, so long as you are not taking pics for the purpose of sexual gratification of people who are undressed or engaged in private acts, then you are in the clear.

NSW lawyer Andrew Nemeth has a page at http://4020.net/words/photorights.php with more info and links to specific legal precedents that is well worth the read.
