Plan B is still in the formative stages. It might be - don't go to the zoo. :D

We will need something, and make decisions on Saturday 22/4 based on the forecast.

Hi folks

I have unfortunately entered the realm of the "not sures" for Sunday. We have had a death in the family this morning, and
there are some issues. The funeral is on Monday, but I am just not sure whether I will be needed before then.

No condolence posts please - not necessary.

Still hoping to go on Sunday, been looking forward to it.

The weather forcast is for a few showers clearing. The good news from that is that there won't be too many people
there at 9am I suspect. I reckon warm clothes and a brolly and conditions should be fine and dandy. And bright sunshine can be
more of a problem than a blessing shooting animals.

More tomorrow

cheers

Oh well, as Greg noted that should at least cut down on the foot traffic. There should still be plenty of photo ops, and it'll be interesting to put some more faces to names!

I have to remember to take the (wine) cork collection to donate to the zoo (I recall the collection bins are around the front gate somewhere)...

Hi,

Sorry to hear Greg you won't be able to make. So far if the weather is good I shall be there with my 9 year old son. My daughter this time has opted out. Also a friend of mine who just purchased a D70 recently (my old one) who is a keen photographer will come along as well.

Main gate at 9AM it is. C U all there.

I shall be coming by tram, so I will be entering by the other gate. According to the timetable, the tram should arrive at 0905, so I guess I will see you guys in the main drive somewhere?

Well,

That was good fun! Nice to get out and do the group thing as Mark said.
I've post processed a few but I need to leave them for a week or so and come back with a more objective eye.

It was lots of fun. Good to meet some new places and see some familiar faces again. The weather was just right too. BBQ was a bonus even if it was a rip off!

I missed out on the oragutans today and they are one of my favourites too!

Ha! Yes $9- for two snags had me feeling a bit used to say the least!
I tell you I've never seen such an impressive looking camera rig as Dave's, that thing was great! It was all practical too, which was even more surprising!

Cmon you lot, post some shots!

Thanks everyone for a great day.

I have discovered that size DOES matter. Everyone had long lenses except for me. Lachie was very kind and lent me his 18-70 which had a bit more reach than the 18-55. I feel inadequate.

Need to save up for a good lens. Donation greatfully accepted. PM me for my bank details.
