Melb meet/dinner

I have just realised that our last Melbourne dinner was around 12 months ago, 11 August 2006.
Must be time to do it again.
Let's say early September?
Do we have any interest out there? Also, ideas for a venue.
2005 we met at Totos pizza when Gary and Leigh visited Melbourne,
2006 was Tho Tho in Victoria Street Richmond (interesting coincidence with the names.)
Post your thoughts and ideas.
I am holding a few goodies from Poon via Gary just to sweeten the pot!
cheers

I'm interested!
... depending on the day as September is turning out to be a busy month with trips, shift work and weddings ...... I'll work something out ....
I would love to catch up with some more Melbourne users
Cheers, Elena
..... and I will ponder on some venues ....

Hi Greg , Sharon and i would like to attend
A suggestion
maybe a morning shoot at Koroit creek for waterbirds(Egrets ,Herons Spoonbills ,,,,Tiger snakes etc just kidding !) and then some industrial shots nearby followed by lunch at Williamstown and more interesting area's to shoot in the docks/beach after maybe
i know the area's well (all very close/compact to one another) and can post some pics as examples if you like the idea
If you want more idea's let me know
Now ,,,,do i qualify for a prize ,huh ????

Norm, I was thinking in terms of a dinner where the other halves can come along and
see why it is such a good idea to buy more and more equipment because
it leads to sociable behaviour and a better life.
I know that the lovely Sharon needs no convincing and is a keen photog herself, but perhaps we
can co-ordinate a shoot over dinner?

Any consensus on a day yet? My September weekends are looking full with work etc, next free weekend time pretty much starts Sun 23rd onwards.
If it ends up being earlier on, have a wonderful time and I'll make it to the next one, otherwise .... October????

A good central location is Carlton, and if you want a suggestion for good food at a reasonable price, my pick would be
Dimmatinas

Well,
The more the better for a nice get around talking photography, but we will never get everyone around.
If all persons interested can post preference (end of April) of days so we can all advise together to set a date!

Honestly, I don't mind. It would certainly be great to get something organised.
Friday 25 is a holiday. ANZAC day.
So... thursday night is good. Bindii will be in town on Friday through to the following wednesday. Is Friday good?
Bindii, if it was Friday, are you available for dinner?
Otherwise, thursday would be fine too.
Venue? There are lots of places in Lygon ranging from (unnecessarily) expensive, to old school pizza/pasta joints.
Availability people. State your position. Let's hear it.

Oh look its okay.. please don't arrange anything around me.. if you do have the dinner and I am in town and can get there I will come cause it would be lovely to meet you all.. but if I don't get to attend thats all good and well also...
