Aust. Rally Championships - MelbourneHey all, the ARC Melbourne event is coming first weekend of Sept.
I was just wondering if anyone else was going to go? If so, maybe meet up? Ray
There's not a lot of details on their website but the address is:

They've put some of the details for the rally on their website. Mainly maps for the different stages.
http://www.rallyofmelbourne.com.au/spectators.html The cost was about $37 for a weekend pass. Ray
I'm interested in attending. Redline, Pirostitch, you guys interested being the car freaks that you are?
Mudder, not sure if you're interested in animals of the 4 wheeled variety? Darryl (aka Kipper) Nikon D200

I wouldn't mind going if I'm free that weekend...I don't have a tele that has enough reach tho.
I'm not going to do what those crazy idiots did during the Group B rallies...people seeing how long they could stand in front of the car and jumping away at the last minute...that's just dumb. Hassy, Leica, Nikon, iPhone Come follow the rabbit hole...
Tele does help, means you can take the shot and get out of the way What lenses do you have? 70MM or upto 100MM should get you if you're positioned right some fiarly decent shots. It won't be a tight car shot but maybe more of the car in it's environment, for instance car over hill with spectators either side? Darryl (aka Kipper) Nikon D200
i'd rather be taking pics than marshalling Hassy, Leica, Nikon, iPhone Come follow the rabbit hole...
Think I'll get a 77MM UV Filter for this event. Do they make bullet proof ones? I don't fancy a stone going through my lens.
Also will have to get some carry bags cut up to go around the body of the camera and the 70-200VR for dust protection. Darryl (aka Kipper) Nikon D200
