Australian Body Art Carnivale, Eumundi Sunshine Coast, Qld.Okay guys, I have spoken to the organisers and they will not shift on the $60.00 entry fee as they are employing security to keep the mobile phone cameras at bay and full access for the entrants only. They did, however, agree to allow four images in each division, because the original conditions were a bit vague and only mentioned one per section. Entry allows us to enter images into all sections. Here is the latest official word:
"It’s an opportunity to secure unique photographic opportunities and access – as registered photographers will receive a pass enabling them to access the body art workshop areas where models are being painted throughout the day, along with a restricted photographer-only area complete with backdrops and props. It’s also an opportunity to enter the Australian Body Art Carnivale photography competition and be in the running for great prizes, including $500 prize money for the best photo print and $500 prize money for the best digital art photograph. Each entrant may submit four photographs in each category. In the photo print category, final photos submitted for the competition must remain as they were shot, with only very minor corrections permitted (any enhancements must be clearly stated). Images must retain their original meaning, look and feel. In the digital art category, there are no boundaries with respect to photographic manipulation and editing. Photographers may choose to place subjects in different settings, add additional props, change the colours, etc, however the content must reflect the body art and/or Australian Body Art Carnivale. To register, simply complete the entry form http://www.australianbodyart.com.au/fil ... graphy.pdf, and submit your entry fee along with a passport sized photo of the entrant, for ID card purposes. The cost per entrant in the photography competitions (photo print and digital art categories) is $60 and only $20 for students (student ID card required)." LAst year was a blast and many great images resulted. I would recommend it as backdrops, basic lighting and models are all supplied. Get in soon. Col Photography. The Art of Seeing, Not Just Looking
