Just a reminder note that the 3rd December is approaching fast, any members planning to come for the day please PM me for details. It would be good if I could get rough numbers for catering purposes.
My wife makes the best date scones and I have just taken delivery of a brand new espresso machine, shiny stainless steel job! There will also be Madura tea for those who like it, (and who doesn't?)
Possible schedule:
10.30am Arrive Woolgoolga and morning tea
Beach/lake walk to shipwreck
Woolgoolga headland visit
Coffs Harbour Botanic Gardens
Coffs Harbour jetty/marina/Muttonbird island
McCauley's headland
Any enquiries/suggestions, please PM.

On the way to coffs we pass this tree about 25k north of Grafton, next to the highway......... it was planted by my great great aunty in the late 1800 when she was a young married woman on the cornor of their property to mark the entrance of a lane way to their Home, not much has changed around there except that some of the homes are now quite
modern.........The best time to shoot this tree is early morning so if the light is right a quick stop for a photo opp.........
edit: forgot the tree......so here it is.....

That would be great if it is not too far out of the way.
you have a PM.
Also thanks for your generous offer too bigpix. While I could probably do something to cross your path on the way down, I virtually need to be dropped at the door on the way home.
really looking forward to this meet.
Thanks,

Max, can we add an extra body at this late stage?
A non-forum mate has expressed interest in the event.
Cheers,
Greg

No worries Greg, the more the merrier! Robyn will make an extra large batch of date scones, there's plenty of coffee in the cupboard, and I don't think Coffs Hbr is going anywhere soon!
Pray for a reasonably nice day, yesterday it was monsooning down rain, and I was on the beach taking pics, oh well, I'm thankful for the waterproof Lowepro bag.
See you Saturday,
Max

Bernie, I will post a weather report on Friday night, it's very unsettled here at present, but there should be enough sunshine for some good photos. Usually if you wait a while the storm passes and off you go.
Places like the Botanic Gardens are good even in the rain, and there's plenty of shelter around the place.
Of course, if things turn really bad, we may just have to camp out at Bluebottles brasserie for the day!
Stay tuned.

Bernie, I'll post a weather watch later on this evening, today has been pretty good, violent weather earlier in the week though. I think the rain is here to stay for a long time eg months but if it's like today it should be OK.

G'day all north coasters:
Mini meet should be OK at this stage, thunderstorms clearing so should be OK by afternoon. Have plenty of coffee in supply and Robyn will make triple batch of date scones just to be sure. (Bernie bring your doggie bag.)
I also have approx 100 episodes of 3 Stooges just in case we get rained in!
See you all tomorrow and take care.
