Hey people
Our very own Nnnnsic is in another theatrical play 'A Mid Summer Nights Dream'
On thursday 17th and friday 18th of November, that's this week, at the Cell Block Theatre, National Art School East Sydney, starts at 7pm $10 entry
I am going on the 17th and taking shots
I saw leigh in Dr Faustus, a very impressive actor going through pages of old english script for around 2 hours. See leigh now before he starts to get into more expensive plays.

Are they relaxed about photography during performances in The Cell?

used to be the location for the famed East Sydney Tech fashion school, everyone in the area knows of it's location, if you get lost just grab someone on the street and shake them down for directions.
I asked leigh if he could have a word with the directors, no word back, I will contact the school and find out myself, if i get no answer
i am going to take the cam regardless without flash and just shoot, i did last time, but i had a coolpix 8700 which was much more discreet and quiet.
Chi lots of nice east sydney girls were at leigh's last play!!

It's in Darlinghurst, just behind the courts at Taylor Square.
They were quite relaxed about photography last year; certainly I was given no grief at all.

I doubt they'll care. They didn't last time.
Provided you don't get in the way of people watching, I think it's probably fine.
Long lens VR is probably needed, ISO 800.
And it's on November 17th, 18th... and there's apparently a preview (which is their name for full dress rehearsal) on Wednesday the 16th... nights... at 7pm...
Ten bucks.
I'll try and dig up a shot of me as the donkey. I'm sure the Lion grabbed my D70 off of me and shot one of me a few weeks ago.

I plan to be on the side midwayfrom the front row, with the 70-200Vr on a monopod I can shoot at around ISO 800 but the last time i was at one of your plays the main spot was bright if that is the case there will be no need for high ISO, but we shall see.
Is there much movement?

wendellt,
The 70-200Vr won't work for you in this case, I bet you, where you are going to sit, you are able to get the headshot or from shoulder with this lens, WA and fast lens is a must.

Is this another minimeet? Will there be 100+ people all taking different shots and comparing later on this website?

Birdy i can never get anything right
first i buy the wrong ballhead, then the wrong tripod, and now the wrong lens?
I am sure i can do a decent job with the 70-200 standing in the side isle
as i wil lbe much higher than the rest of the people sitting down, and the stage is raised.
Paul just 2 or three

I think the only place in the side aisle you'll be able to stand will be at the back, honestly.
There's likely to be some running throughout the aisles by the actors.

wendellt,
You bought the right stuffs and spent good money for the quality or pro gears, but you never use them with the right jobs
and wrecked them the next day of your ownership

Leigh,
Wendellt will be an actor at your play with his gears, can you blend him in?
give him something to do
