Photography Exhibitions

Does anyone know where I can find a concise listing of local (Sydney) photography exhibitions that are on from time to time? I know I can check each museum/gallery, but I was hoping there maybe a central area that would cover many/most/all of them? Perhaps we can start a sticky thread here somewhere where people can post listings that they are aware of?

Cheers

Patrick

Great idea Patrick!
I'm not sure of a specific listing but I like the idea!

Have you checked the Art Almanac. This lists Galleries and what's on around Australia. I am not sure if it includes photography galleries or not though.

Greg PS It is available in many newsagents, and libraries with an art focus stock it.
Probably the most certain source in Sydney would be AGNSW.

There is one going on at the right moment now at Ken Done Gallery, 1 Hickson Rd, The Rocks. Admission is free and the photographs displayed are "Congo: Forgotten War" on photojournalism.

Keep an eye on city weekly magazine every thursday, will fill you up with plenty of events around Sydney all week round.

Thanks guys

The idea is it would be great to have a very quick reference if one decided to just trawl through a gallery one Sunday.

Cheers

The Congo exhibition is a must see. It features work by Jim Nachteway and he is one of the finest photographers alive today.
