How about another portraiture workshop, expanding on where we left off in November? June 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, or 24.

Thinking to have two studio setups, one with studio lights, the other with flash guns (Nikon's CLS), and see what we can learn. Would be nice to put a few SB800's together, and see what they are capable of, then compare to studio lights, side by side. Maybe experiement with colored gels...

Perhaps have two to three models to pose for us, including hair and makeup stylist, budget permitting. Perhaps Fashion and Beauty genre. 70% indoors, 30% outdoors, weather permitting (it is Melbourne after all).

How about something like BYO BBQ lunch, bring a little gift, perhaps wine for an instructor, and a small monetary sum to cover models and stylist?

I have seen a few Melbournites interested via the Sydney thread, can I ask for a show of hands?

My niece is a part time model located in Melbourne. She may be interested in participating in the shoot for a copy and use of all photos taken for her portfolio.

Would this be of interest?

I must add I haven't approached her regards to this as yet.

Her assistance would be much appreciated. We can also cater to some of the styles she may want also. I think its fair that if she is donating her time, that we trade time for prints/CD for her.

It's important that she understands its a learning exercise.

I've spoken to my niece and she is very interested, if you could finalise a date for the shoot, then I can make sure that she is available for you and pass on contact details.

I've asked her to see if any of her colleagues are also interested.

The day will kick off at 10am, with our good friend antsl (Anthony McKee) presenting and leading us through our second workshop on lighting. Please post, or PM me, any subject areas of interest you would like to cover, so we can be best prepared.

We also have a makeup artist (Nina) to help out with three models (Laura, Bianca, and Hayley) who will pose for us as we study the light.

We will break around 1230 for a BBQ lunch, and go through to about 4pm (or even a tad later if the sky fills with color ).

Sunday will be jam-packed full of fun, and learnings.
