I'm sorry if I posted the link in the wrong forum; I wasn't quite sure where to post it. Last night I saw this documentary about this extraordinary photographer: Vivian Maier.

Such a shame that she did not live to see her work acclaimed. I can think of nothing more futile than to become famous after your death. Her images are remarkable and in the same league as those of the early Magnum photographers we so revere. Thanks for posting.

Matt, I believe the story is not yet completed as a estranged Mier's relative helped by a solicitor has challenged in court the owner of the films and the exhibition gallery. It appears that under US law the photographer or owner of the film does not own the prints, and her relative is has an entitlement to the will.
