Anyone heading up to Indy this year? I'll be there with my dad sporting a D70 (thanks Birddog114, champion!!

), hopefully will snare some nice pics. If you usually go, or have gone in the past, where did you shoot from?

I hope you enjoyed your new toy, this event will be your test field and evaluate your new D70, perhaps the kit lens won't do justice but try.

Thanks Birddog!

I'll have a Tamron 28-300 F3.5-6.3 with me (carried over from my old F50) as well as the kit lens. Hardly an 80-400VR, but we'll see how it goes. Should be a fun few days!

Don't knock the kit lens! It's a lot better than most people give it credit for.

One of my troops headed up there today but he doesn't have a D70. I think he's got something else on his 'list of things to do at Indy'.

How do you know? he may have the D2h and 200-400VR instead of.
