Personally I don't like Fozzie, and I haven't even read what it said :)

If you want to get low level to your subjects than a skimmer pod (or homemade job) is the way to go. Something I noticed lastnight when trying to move the gitzo flattened out is that the legs were brushing against reeds and making a lot of noise. The skimmer pod is like a frying pan (but only ways 18oz - ideal for travelling overseas with weight restrictions) and has a standard thread (3/8"?) for a Wimberley, Ball or QR Clamp. With that you can slide through mud, sand, dirt etc. I'll take a read of it later, but that's my first impression.

Not good fozzie, a bean bag or other ground pod are better than this product from RRS.

Bean Bag is great if you're stationary, other pods that allow you to slide your equipment stealthily to your target is the way to go I think.

kipper,

I missed this  don't you like fozzie?
Yes, the ground pod is the way to go, bean bag works in some cases but not the way of the ground pod is.

Doesn't seem so bad to me Fozzie, but for US$375 I just wont pull the legs of the Gitzo up

You have sure got a hard time pointing out a new product
