Sigma 1.4x TC APO EX DG

I recently used this TC with my Canon 70-200 F2.8 L lens while on holidays.

Image quality seems quite good with it fitted. I have not done a detailed study just yet but the quality seems not much worse than the 70-200 by itself.

AF speed was quite good, with only a slight hint of hesitation now and then if the AF target contrast was poor (would not get this with the 70-200 by itself).

Overall quite a good buy for around half the price of the genuine Canon item.

Canon 20D and a bunch of lovely L glass and a 580EX. Benro tripod. Manfrotto monopod. Lowepro and Crumpler bags. And a pair of Sigma teleconverters, and some Kenko tubes.

It works extrememly well when on my Sigma 120-300f2.8. So much so that I leave it on quite a lot of the time.
