Monaco OPTIX XR Pro Monitor calibrator

I'm in the process of ordering (and now waiting for) a new LCD monitor and decided that I should also be getting a monitor calibrator.
After reading through the forums particularly DP review and seeing this review:
http://drycreekphoto.com/Learn/monitor_calibration_tools.htm,
I elected to go with the Monaco OPTIX XR Pro Monitor calibrator (+ it was on special as well).
All I can really say so far, having done my 1st calibration (on an old CRT), is that the process was very simple. Load the software, install the calibrator via USB and then run the software package. The software runs you through calibration process in a step by step fashion. The device is "dangled" over the screen counterbalanced by a weight that comes with the package. The only thing to watch out for is to position the device out of the way of where your onscreen display information ( to adjust your monitor settings) appears otherwise you'll interfer with the measurements.
I ended up purchasing the device from the US. There is presently a special on where the Pro version is the same price as the standard (US$ 219). Shipping was US$62 (international priority). I purchased it from:
http://www.chromix.com/ColorGear/Shop/productdetail.cxsa?toolid=1086
I was impressed with their service. Placed an order on Sunday night. Received an email the next day asking what type of shipping I wanted (priority was only $2 more !). Received the item on Friday afternoon.
From what I can tell the local price for the same item is in the order of $599.
I can't really say if this is really any better than any of the other packages out there. I'll have to leave that up to the experts. I certainly found this one very easy to use.
