FX Hanging System for framed images

Well Bel and I travelled out to Balmain today and bought enough of the tracking system to put a few images/certificates etc up in the loungeroom of our unit. It will take a bit to install/setup but I will do quite a thorough evaluation of the setup and the associated steps (with images of course!) if anyone is interested. Not particularly cheap however I managed to talk the owner down and came away with a MUCH better price than the initial one he gave me!! Watch this space. For info:

I recently installed a gallery system in my home. It is currently holding 14 paintings and two of my photographs. Not cheap but looks great and once the track is up it is not noticeable. Top system.

Did you get/use the stainless steel or the translucent nylon?

The nylon. My walls are off white and they virtually disappear.

Looks interesting geoff and oneputt. Any chance of you guys posting some images of your home galleries using this system for a better idea on how it looks set up?

Would also be interesting to know what weight capabilities this kind of setup can manage... I have a number of fairly heavy frames with mirrors and paintings that I would incorporate into such a system but perhaps it can't take much weight? The FX site doesn't appear to mention any technical info like that.

OK this is my system.
As you can see the channel up next to the cornice is very hard to see, however the flash has highllighted the actual hangers. Under normal condfitions they do not stand out. I have four pictures on this rail, and six on another. In my study I have another two.

Mark I can't break the cost down because I bought everything for the one price. My guess would be in excess of $200.

My question is: why don't we hang those photos straight onto the wall?
I don't like to see those vertical stripes from the cornice running down to the framing.

Birddog under normal light they are not so noticeable. In this series of prints I had to hand ten pictures, that is a lot of holes in my wall

Just a BUMP for this thread.
Anything to watch out for when installing?
Will probably put one up this weekend in my entry. Like Oneputt I don't fancy drilling a dozen holes in my wall (noting my house is full brick) so this one is a little less intrusive.
Has anyone installed it stopping halfway along a wall? Does it look odd (ie should I go all the way, even though I won't hang photos there - such as over the top of windows, doorways etc).
