Any impressions - HP PhotoSmart 8230

Postby Justin on Sun Jul 09, 2006 8:17 pm

Alright - edited - does anybody have a photo printer for $300-$400 that they would recommend to me? I'm doing my homework as well, but would like to hear any experiences...

From the HP page

Birthday next week, so BB gets a photo printer!

Does anyone own one of the above, any impressions /or/ does anybody know what I should be looking for in a photo printer at this price level and have any recommendations?

I can get the floor model of this one for $279

Thanks!

Look for either an Epson R800 or the Canon iP8500 / iP6600.

HP don't make good non-large format printers.

Thank you!

The 6600d I like the look of, office works down the road has them, the R800 is out of my price range (well, for a b'day present anyway  )

Do yourself a favour and save some money by using StaticIce.

Cheapest listed there is $310 from IT Estate who are actually a pretty good company to order from.
