Well not really a review. More of a show and tell.

This is a icing sugar leaf on a wedding cake. Not a very nice photo by any means, but I thought a few hand held high iso shots would easily describe how the Shift mechanism in the lens works.

Normal image wide open.

Shift away from the petal central vein.

Shift lens close to parallel to make the DOF fall near to the leaf central vein

As you can imagine, open her up a bit, say f8/f11 and this lens is great for product shots, flowers, wedding rings or any macro shots and having the ability to alter the focal plane is a winner.

The downside for us crop sensor types, is that it cuts down the amount of tilt/shift. But one day in the future it will kick some FF digi butt. For a real review : http://www.nikonians.org/html/resources ... _pc_1.html

Andrew - a great lens. I bought one for my D1 in 2000 but after the eyes started playing up I regretfully sold it. A great lens for photographing art behind glass.
