I'm thinking you spend way too much time looking and not enough time taking :lol: :wink: Where DO you manage to find all these oddities you tell us about? As for this. Reading the description it's not a magnifier so it's just basically a cylinder you look down through to see the lcd screen on the camera without glare from ambient light. Sort of like holding a toilet roll inner up to the screen. At US$69 that's a hell of a lot of toilet paper :roll:

....... I used this method when shooting on location with 5x4 to check focus on the ground glass........ only when the lope could not be found or was not packed, which was offen as there was always extra lens in the kit........

I've never seen anyone use that, not even a pro

It looks noob to me :) I prefer to cup my hand over it, save a bit of money and more portable.
