BTW, Australian Geographics are currently selling a pin-hole camera kit for self-assembly, and you have to poke the pin-hole yourself. It could easily be modified to take interchangeable pin-holes. The camera records in square format on 35mm film. Should have bought one, maybe next time...

Don't laugh, the optimal diameter of the hole depends on its distance to the film plane as well as the subject, and also on the wave length of the light. Hence, you might want to have different pin holes for close-ups, scenic or IR shots One might also experiment with larger sizes (for better f-stops) to see how far one can go without compromising the result too much. When I was young I tried to make a 3-blade shutter-like adjustable pin hole from 3 razor blades. Unfortunately, I couldn't figure out a way of drilling holes into the blades, they're hardened to buggery... Cheers Steffen. lust for comfort suffocates the soul
